THOMAS DAVIS

Serving Christ Through Truth, Scholarship, and Discipleship

Throughout his life, Thomas (“Tom”) Davis has pursued a guiding principle: serving others through truth. Whether wearing the uniform of the United States Navy, mentoring college students, teaching in churches, or researching biblical apologetics, his work reflects a commitment to helping people understand the reliability of God’s Word and confidently live out their Christian faith.

A FOUNDATION OF SERVICE

• Growing up in an Air Force family, Tom experienced the values of discipline, integrity, responsibility, and service to others.

• He later enlisted in the United States Navy and served eight years in the submarine force. Life aboard a submarine required technical precision, teamwork, calm judgment under pressure, and unwavering commitment—qualities that continue to influence his approach to ministry and leadership.

A CALL TO MINISTRY

• After completing military service, Tom sensed God directing him toward vocational ministry and a calling centered on answering difficult questions about Christianity.

• His first ministry role was with Baptist Student Ministries, where he served as an intern and later as interim chapter director. Working with university students gave him firsthand insight into the intellectual and spiritual challenges confronting young adults in an increasingly secular culture.

• Those experiences strengthened his conviction that Christian discipleship should be thoughtful, evidence-based, compassionate, and grounded in the truth of Scripture.

CAMPUS APOLOGETICS THROUGH RATIO CHRISTI

• Tom continued his ministry with Ratio Christi, an international apologetics organization serving university campuses.

• During five years as a chapter director and Christian apologist, he helped students examine Christianity through historical investigation, philosophical inquiry, scientific questions, and careful biblical study.

• His aim was not simply to help students possess faith, but to understand why Christianity is intellectually credible, historically trustworthy, and relevant to every area of life.

RESEARCH, TEACHING, AND LEADERSHIP AT PROBE MINISTRIES

• For the past nine years, Tom has served as a Research Associate with Probe Ministries, a Christian worldview and apologetics ministry committed to helping believers think biblically about every area of life.

• His responsibilities extend beyond research. He writes educational resources, develops curriculum, presents conferences and seminars, teaches churches and small groups, mentors young adults, and leads apologetics training designed to provide practical tools for defending and communicating the Christian faith.

• Tom serves churches, conferences, Christian schools, universities, youth camps, men’s and women’s ministries, small groups, leadership programs, and pastoral gatherings.

EQUIPPING THE NEXT GENERATION

• A significant part of Tom’s ministry is Mind Games Camp, an intensive apologetics program that prepares high school and college students to navigate the intellectual and cultural challenges facing Christianity.

• Through lectures, discussions, and personal mentoring, he encourages students to examine difficult questions honestly and discover that the Christian worldview offers compelling answers grounded in history, philosophy, archaeology, reason, and biblical revelation.

• His work with students reflects a broader commitment to raising confident Christian thinkers who can engage culture with courage, humility, and grace.

SPEAKING AND RESEARCH TOPICS

• Christianity and culture: defending Christianity in a skeptical culture, building a biblical worldview, and explaining why truth still matters.

• Jesus Christ: the historical Jesus, evidence for the resurrection, and the trustworthiness of the Gospels.

• The Bible: reliability of the Old and New Testaments and understanding the grand narrative of Scripture.

• Christian apologetics: arguments for the truth of Christianity, classical apologetics, the problem of evil, and responses to difficult contemporary questions.

• Theology and leadership: Divine Council Theology, the biblical story, Christian discipleship, and biblical leadership.

• Youth and family: preparing students for college, Mind Games Camp, and developing confident Christian thinkers.

His presentations cover a broad range of subjects, including:

• The Historical Evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

• The Historical Reliability of the Bible

• Arguments for the Truth of Christianity

• The Historical Jesus

• Biblical Worldview

• Classical Christian Apologetics

• The Narrative of the Bible

• Defending the Resurrection

• The Reliability of the Old and New Testaments

• The Problem of Evil

• Divine Council Theology

ACADEMIC PREPARATION

• Tom earned a Master of Arts in Christian Apologetics from Biola University, where his studies included historical evidence, philosophy, theology, and cultural engagement.

• He also completed a Master of Theological Studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, strengthening his foundation in biblical theology and Christian doctrine.

• His continuing research focuses on the narrative of Scripture, the historical Jesus, evidence for the resurrection, classical apologetics, biblical reliability, biblical worldview, and Divine Council Theology.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

• Tom believes apologetics is not merely about winning arguments; it is about strengthening believers so they can follow Christ faithfully, confidently, and compassionately.

• His teaching emphasizes that biblical truth should transform both mind and heart. He communicates complex theological ideas with warmth, humility, and clarity, making them understandable and applicable to everyday Christian living.

PERSONAL LIFE

• Tom and his wife, Ashley, have been married since 2012.

• They enjoy time with family and friends, caring for their dogs, following football and basketball, and practicing martial arts—interests that reflect Tom’s appreciation for discipline, community, and lifelong learning.

At the heart of Tom Davis’s ministry is a simple conviction: the Christian faith is grounded in truth. He believes the Bible is historically reliable, Jesus Christ truly rose from the dead, and thoughtful Christian discipleship can equip believers to meet the intellectual and cultural challenges of every generation with confidence, courage, compassion, and hope.
