Subscribe to Probe's RSS Feed

If you subscribe to the Probe RSS feed, every time we add a new article to our website—whether it’s a radio transcript (article), or an answer to email, or something written just for Probe.org—a short description and a link will appear in your feed reader. All you have to do is start up your feed reader, which is a great way to keep up with blogs or other frequently updated websites you like.

We like this YouTube video that explains the whole concept in language everyone can understand: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0klgLsSxGsU

And we also like the Google Reader, which is simple, uncluttered, and very easy to use:

1. With the Probe website open in your browser, open a second window or tab. Go to http://reader.google.com

2. You will be asked to sign into a Google account. (Create one if you don’t already have one.)

3. Click the “Add a Subscription” button. A field will come up for you to paste in the RSS feed.

4. Go to the Probe window and right-click on the button that says “Subscribe to Probe’s RSS feed. . .” In Internet Explorer, choose “Copy shortcut.” In Firefox, choose “Copy link location.” This copies the RSS feed address to your clipboard.

5. In the Google Reader, paste the RSS feed into the subscription field. Either right-click and choose “Paste,” or type Ctrl + V at the same time. Click “Add.”

Now, every time you go to the Google Reader, our new website articles will be waiting for you. Welcome!
