This is a listing of the individuals who speak and write for Probe Ministries. Not all speakers are available for every conference.


Kerby Anderson photo

Kerby Anderson is National Director of Probe Ministries International. He received his B.S. from Oregon State University, M.F.S. from Yale University, and M.A. from Georgetown University. He is the author of several books, including Genetic Engineering, Origin Science, Living Ethically in the 90s, Signs of Warning, Signs of Hope, and Moral Dilemmas. He is a nationally syndicated columnist whose editorials have appeared in the Dallas Morning News, the Miami Herald, the San Jose Mercury, and the Houston Post. He is the host of the "Probe" radio program, and frequently serves as guest host on "Point of View" (USA Radio Network) and "Open Line" (Moody Broadcasting Network). Dr. Ray Bohlin is president of Probe Ministries. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois (B.S., zoology), North Texas State University (M.S., population genetics), and the University of Texas at Dallas (M.S., Ph.D., molecular biology). He is the co-author of the book The Natural Limits to Biological Change and has published numerous journal articles. He was named a 1997-98 and 2000 Research Fellow of the Discovery Institute’s Center for the Renewal of Science and Culture. Sue Bohlin is an associate speaker with Probe Ministries. She attended the University of Illinois, and has been a Bible teacher and conference speaker for over 30 years. She serves as a Mentoring Mom for MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers), and on the board of Living Hope Ministries, a Christ-centered outreach to those dealing with unwanted homosexuality. She is also a professional calligrapher and the webmistress for Probe Ministries; but most importantly, she is the wife of Dr. Ray Bohlin and the mother of their two grown sons. Steve Cable is a research associate and assistant to the president with Probe Ministries. Steve is a magna cum laude graduate of Rice University with a Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. Prior to joining Probe, Steve spent over 25 years in the telecommunications industry. Steve and his wife Patti have served as Bible teachers for over 30 years helping people apply God’s word to every aspect of their lives. Steve has extensive, practical experience applying a Christian worldview to the dynamic, competitive hi-tech world that is rapidly becoming a dominant aspect of our society. Jan Chatham photo

Dr. Jan Chatham is raising support to be a research and speaking associate with Probe Ministries. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Chattanooga (B.S. biology) and the University of North Texas (M.S. genetics and Ph.D. neurophysiology). She has worked with youth for almost 20 years. Prior to her position with Probe, she was the director of the Upward Bound Math Science program at UNT and part of the science faculty at Faith Christian School. She speaks on science related issues that are relevant in our culture today. She is the mother of one teenage son and resides in Grapevine, Texas. Don Closson is the administrative director and a research associate with Probe Ministries. He received the B.S. in education from Southern Illinois University, the M.S. in educational administration from Illinois State University, and the M.A. in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. He served as a public school teacher and administrator before joining Probe Ministries as a research associate in the field of education. Michael Gleghorn is a research associate with Probe Ministries. He earned a B.A. in psychology from Baylor University and a Th.M. in systematic theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. Before coming on staff with Probe he taught history and theology at Christway Academy in Duncanville, Texas. Michael is married to his beautiful wife Hannah. Greg Grooms is Director of Hill House Ministries (formerly the ProbeCenter-Austin)on the campus of the University of Texas. He received the B.S. in biochemistry from Tulane University. He served for 14 years with L'Abri Fellowship in Switzerland where he and his wife worked side by side with Dr. Francis and Edith Schaeffer. Greg Grooms photo

Todd Kappelman is a field associate with Probe Ministries. He is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University (B.A. and M.A.B.S., religion and Greek), and the University of Dallas (M.A., philosophy/humanities). Currently he is pursuing a Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Dallas. He has served as assistant director of the Trinity Institute, a study center devoted to Christian thought and inquiry. He has been the managing editor of The Antithesis, a bi-monthly publication devoted to the critique of foreign and independent film. His central area of expertise is Continental philosophy (especially nineteenth and twentieth century) and postmodern thought.


Rick Wade graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a B.A. in communications (radio broadcasting) in 1986. He graduated cum laude in 1990 from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with an M.A. in Christian thought (theology/philosophy of religion) where his studies culminated in a thesis on the apologetics of Carl F.H. Henry. He is currently nearing completion of a Master of Humanities degree at the University of Dallas. Rick's interests focus on apologetics and Christianity and culture with a special interest in issues of special concern in these "postmodern" days (such as religious pluralism and the matter of truth). Before joining Probe Ministries in February 1997, Rick worked in the ship repair industry in Norfolk, VA. Rusty Wright photo

Rusty Wright is an international lecturer, award-winning author, and journalist who has spoken on six continents. His specialty is communicating Christ to secular audiences in biblical, culturally appropriate ways. Rusty holds Bachelor of Science psychology) and Master of Theology degrees from Duke and Oxford universities, respectively. He trains Christian leaders, broadcasters, print-media and Internet professionals in effective communication with secular audiences. Heather Zeiger graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas with a B.S. in chemistry and a minor in political science. She received her M.S. in chemistry, also from UTD; her research was in organic synthesis and materials. She interned at Probe Ministries prior to graduate school and now serves with Probe as a Research Associate and Program Coordinator. She is married to David, another former Probe intern, and is the mother of one cat. Pat Zukeran photoPatrick Zukeran is an associate speaker with Probe Ministries. He has a B.A. from Point Loma Nazarene University, a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a doctorate from Southern Evangelical Seminary. He is an author, radio talk show host, and a national and international speaker on apologetics, comparative religions, Bible, and theology. Pat hosts a nationally syndicated radio show “Evidence and Answers” (www.evidenceandanswers.org) which also airs throughout Asia.
