Oprah: America's Beloved False Teacher

Oprah, whose mentions of book titles catapult them into guaranteed bestseller status, held her swansong after a quarter century of unrivaled fame. She went out as #2 on Forbes magazine's Celeb 100 list, an annual ranking of the world's most powerful stars. The rankings are based on a combination of earnings, press and social media reach. Oprah's influence is truly breathtaking.

Watching her final program, Christians awaited her last word on her views of Jesus Christ, hoping for redemption from her squishy New Age beliefs. That was not to be. Sue Bohlin examines Oprah's fatally flawed religious worldview.
Oprah farewell

Oprah Winfrey, the goddess of talk, said goodbye on her show after 25 years of cultural icon status. Her new Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) will carry on her astounding global influence, which sadly includes a warped view of God.
